• SC fiber optic connector is one of most common fiber optic connector using on telecommunication connecting system.
• An SC (Subscriber Connector / Square Connector) fiber optic connector is built with a highly precise, multi-layered structure that aligns microscopic glass cores to transmit data.

• Ferrule Assembly ( is the optical heart of the connector): It features a 2.5mm cylindrical zirconia ceramic barrel that holds the stripped glass fiber perfectly centered within a high-precision 124–127µm hole.
• Internal Spring: Sits directly behind the ferrule assembly to provide forward tension. This ensures continuous, physical flat-surface contact when mated inside an adapter, preventing air gaps.
• Inner Housing & Main Body: A structural skeleton that holds the ferrule assembly and internal spring securely in alignment.

• Outer Housing: The rectangular plastic outer shell that provides the famous push-pull latching mechanism. It allows quick, slide-in engagement that locks securely without rotating the connector.
• Crimp Ring & Sleeve: Metal rings that clamp tightly over the aramid/Kevlar strength members of the fiber cable, transferring any mechanical pulling force away from the fragile glass core.
• Stress Relief Boot: A rubber sleeve covering the rear joint to protect the cable from over-bending and mechanical strain.
• Dust Cap: A removable plastic cover placed over the exposed ferrule tip to guard against contamination and scratching when unplugged.

The outer housing is color-coded to instantly identify the glass type and polish geometry

• Blue: Single-mode fiber with a UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) flat finish.
• Green: Single-mode fiber with an APC (Angled Physical Contact) 8-degree angled finish to eliminate back-reflection.
• Beige: Multimode OM1, OM2
• Aqua: Multimode OM3, OM4
• Violet: OM4
